Professional Athletes Choose Chiropractic

Aaron Rodgers (MVP, Quarterback for Green Bay Packers, 2011 Super Bowl Champions) has been getting adjusted since the day he was born. Aaron’s dad, Dr. Ed Rodgers, is a chiropractor in Chico, California and has been making sure his son is game ready starting with little league football all the way to Super Bowl Champions.

Aaron Rodgers is not the only NFL player that swears by chiropractic; nor is he the only professional athlete. Other NFL players include Tom Brady, Terrell Owens, Maurice Jones-Drew, Reggie Bush and 2010 Hall of inductee Jerry Rice. Other professional athletes include Tiger Woods (14 time PGA Championship Golfer), Lance Armstrong (7 time Tour de France Champion), Johnny Damon (2 time World Series Champion), and Dan O’Brian (Olympic Gold Medalist, Decathlon).

Athletes of all ages, both amateur and professional, are sidelined with injuries that could be prevented. Athletes can also sit out with chronic injuries because they are not receiving the ideal treatment for their unique body. And then others are playing at a less than optimal level because their body is misaligned.

Today coaches, parents, athletes, and doctors are becoming more aware of the benefits, both immediate and long-term, of chiropractic care. People are realizing that “quick fixes” with painkillers are not the answer. Those “quick fixes” could actually put them on the sidelines longer by masking a symptom of great importance from your body.

All sports demand a lot from your body. With quick starts and stops, direct hits, increased torque of the spine, and high level endurance, your body must be functioning at its optimal level at every second of every play. Chiropractic views your body as an integrated unit. That is, where the spinal cord, every nerve, muscle, tendon, and joint and each vertebrae must be in complete sync. If one vertebrae is out of alignment, it can affect the surrounding musculature and impinge nerves; therefore decreasing the efficiency of the body’s performance. Chiropractic is a natural healthcare method with a focus on keeping all aspects of the body functioning optimally and efficiently, so that injuries can be prevented, recovery time is faster, and the athlete can perform at the best of his/her ability. Chiropractic gets the athlete GAME TIME READY.

“ …As long as I see the chiropractor, I feel like I’m one step ahead of the game.” – Tom Brady, New England Patriots ~ 3 time Super Bowl Champion and 2 time Super Bowl MVP

“Those are the guys that put me on the field when I didn’t think I had a chance to be on the field. These are professionals, and God put them in my life for a reason.” – Terrell Owens, NFL Wide Receiver

“I believe in chiropractic, and I know it works. You probably know about my long and successful career in football. I’m flattered by the testimonials to my durability. Football is a very rough and vigorous sport. Chiropractic was the key to keeping me in the game.” – Jerry Rice, Wide Receiver ~ 3 time Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP

“You obviously can’t compete at your fullest if you’re not in alignment. And your body can’t heal if your back is not in alignment. Every track and field athlete that I have ever met has seen a chiropractor at one time or another. In track and field, it is absolutely essential. Chiropractic care is one of the things I think that no one has denied or refuted” – Dan O’Brian, Olympic Gold Medallist ~ Decathlon
